Words become phrases receives development funding

Words become Phrases, by director and screenwriter Margot Schaap and screenwriter Medi Broekman, received treatment development funding by the Dutch Film Fund.

Margot Schaap made her feature debut in 2015 with Een dag in ’t jaar and now works on her second feature, Quicksand.

Medi Broekman acted and wrote plays before she got her degree in screenwriting from the Script Academy in 2017. Earlier Medi and OAK worked together on short film (Kort!) Sjaak’s Wife is dead so He needs to say Something by director Eva M.C. Zanen.

In the coming months Margot and Medi will be working on the treatment of Words become Phrases. Mart Dominicus is linked to the project as a script coach.
